Garrett did a beautiful job on the drive down to Daytona. He was pretty perfect and we made it all the way down there with only watching 1 movie! I was pretty impressed with him needless to say. As soon as we got to our time share the office staff was more than happy to greet our little fellow. They gave him crayons, coloring sheets, and a little green beach bucket which made his day!
Easter Morning Garrett was greeted with just a few beach fun goodies!
Garrett was ready and excited to use his Cars kick board in the pool...zoom, zoom! and then we headed to the beach!
We took a little break for a short power nap before the Easter egg hunt. Garrett was so excited to find some eggs. Even two girls helped get him a golden egg so he could win a special prize... a big stuffed bunny. At first Garrett didn't know what to think about the bunny but he quickly warmed up to it and it was his new best friend for the week.
Then back to the beach we went!
That evening we enjoyed a stroll on Daytona Beach's boardwalk
Our first day time adventure was to the Marine Science Center! I know, I know...such a teacher type of trip, but hey we love this type of stuff!
Look out view to the lighthouse.
Our attempt at a couple family photos! :)
Most of our trip was spent having fun at the beach. Tom and I quickly realized we have a little beach bum on our hands. Everyday he greeted us with "beach, beach, beach" and pointed out the window. When it was time to pack up and head back in we had a little melt down but with promised snacks inside it quickly cured the melt down.
Our little family sand sketch
Since Pirates run in my family :) Pirate Tew we had to go check out his treasure chest at the Pirate museum in St. Augustine. We couldn't take any pictures inside but it was a pretty awesome museum and we recommend visiting it whenever you're in St. Augustine. Garrett's favorite part was lighting the cannon and making it fire. Pretty awesome!
While in St. Augustine we packed a picnic lunch and enjoyed eating at this super cool park.
Time to explore the St. Augustine Fort
Towards the end of our week we headed to the Central Florida Zoo to check out the animals.
We even stumbled across this dinosaur...Garrett certainly was excited to see this!
Last year we stumbled upon this amazing restaurant and we decided to visit it again this year. While we waited to be seated we took some pictures. Tom and Garrett had this same picture taken last year, I see a tradition forming :)
