it's SOCCER time!

Garrett ventured into the sport of soccer this Fall.  He was so excited to wear cleats, have shin guards, and of course a soccer ball.  He thought practices were games wondered where the snack was after!  It was nice to see him enjoy something so much.  He even got to practice at home to make sure he was ready for the games on Saturday.  Even though he was the youngest on the team and it was his first time ever playing he was able to keep up with the others pretty well.  Here are a few pictures from his first practice and his last game.
Here's the blue team running a lap to get warmed up!

Their first game was about 90 degrees and their game was about 40 degrees with major wind!  What a drastic change.  The little kids hung in their and still played well.  They enjoyed soccer cupcakes after their last game and they each got a certificate and a trophy.

Garrett was recognized for great dribbling and he was over the moon for his first trophy.  He's already wants a countdown till next soccer season!  Graham was a one of Garrett's biggest fans, he was eager to join in on just about every game!  You would often see Graham "dribbling" a soccer ball in the nearby field during a game.  We are all looking forward to next season!  :)
