This valentine's day was suppose to be pretty low key but it turned out to be pretty precious! Tom surprised me in the morning and told me he was going to take me shopping for Valentine's Day. This is a pretty big deal since we don't get to go shopping too often so it was nice that he thought of something that I enjoy doing. So we treated our boys to a few special valentine treats and headed our way out to go shopping!
Garrett got a couple lego kits and Graham got a book and a transformer.
Luckily the outlets we like to visit have a play place that the boys can get out to stretch, run around, and to let some energy out!
Next we headed to church for the annual Sweethearts dinner. Once we got there we learned that the electricity went out! So we really did have a romantic dinner...by candlelight. The youth are responsible for serving this dinner and most of them were standing over the buffet table using their cell phone flashlights. Precious!!! Even though we weren't able to participate in any of the games the youth group worked so hard to coordinate, it was a night to remember to being with the people you call family and enjoying each others company!
