We love Florida! The weather is perfect and the ocean water is clear! We were looking forward to this trip for such a long time. We started our trip off right by visiting our cousins in Jacksonville before heading down to Ft. Lauderdale. The 5 Tews were excited to meet
Garrett. They were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed spending time with all of the Tews. Rhonda even gave Garrett and unofficial 3 month check-up :) Too bad we don't live closer so she could be Garrett's pediatrician.

The ride to Ft. Lauderdale went pretty well. We had nice weather and Garrett slept pretty much the whole time! Once we checked into our time share we were ready to get settled in and relax. Our first real day there we spent relaxing by the pool. Garrett seemed to like the water. We didn't get to stay as long as we wanted because it was so hot and humid. That afternoon we found the nearest Babies R Us and got Garrett a stroller fan to help him survive the Florida heat. Once we got that he had the perfect set-up. He had his own little cabana and a personal fan. All the pool kids were jealous! Here's a couple pictures of Garrett enjoying the pool.

Checking out his feet in the water.
Having fun with daddy.
For our first day out we went to Key Biscayne in Miami. The day first started out to be kind of gloomy but turned out to be a pretty good day. The beach was quiet and very relaxing. Garrett loved the warm ocean water. Tom even found where they marked a sea turtles nest.

Our last day was a special day. We went to Key West. This was one of our favorite parts of our trip. We had an awesome beach day. The beach had several families enjoying each others company. This one cute little girl and her parents were sitting in front of us and she was into everything and just kept staring at Garrett. Her dad kept telling her she should be like the baby and take a nap...that suggestion lasted for about a minute and then she was up again playing with her beach toys. It was cute! Another little girl was walking by and said "Oh! There's my tent." and came walking towards Garrett's cabana and her parents had to stop her. These two little girls only made me imagine what it would be like with Garrett a few years from now. That evening we walked around the island enjoying the warm Florida weather. For dinner we enjoyed a great meal at Red Fish, Blue Fish - so yummy!

Each evening Key West always has a sunset celebration. Everyone gathers around to watch the sunset and they have street vendors and performers. It was such a cute setting. We look forward to our next trip to Florida sometime in the near future. :)

See you next time Key West!
Looks like you guys had a great time! Wonderful pictures :) We miss you - can't wait to see you at church again soon!
