I can't remember when or even how Garrett got hooked on pirates but he's a fan! He loves the Veggietales...The Pirates who don't do anything and just about anything else that's pirates. So we thought a pirate party would be perfect for our little Matey!
Garrett was so excited to have a pirate party and for his friends to come over and play. It truly was a 3 year old party. They played and played, ate and played some more. When we all stopped to eat and we were getting ready to say the blessing he started saying it so we all joined in. I was so proud that he wanted to say it all by himself in front of so many people!
We ate cannon balls, shark bait, pirate teeth, fish-n-chips, sailor dogs, and fruit swords.
And we can't forget the high seas jello!

Then it was time for presents. Garrett was so excited to open up his presents. He wanted to open them as soon as they arrived but we made him wait until after lunch. Which made the anticipation of opening presents greater!
Of course we saved the best part for last...cupcakes! Garrett was all about singing Happy Birthday to himself first and then we all sang it to him! Just got to love his independence!
