Massanutten here we come!

Every fall my parents go to Massanutten to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage. We were able to join them for a weekend, which was so nice to take a short little break from our daily life. The weather was great and we spent most of the day on Saturday taking it easy (as Granddaddy would say). Which I almost forgot how nice it is just to sit around and not worry about anything. Dad and Chere even let Tom and I escape to Harrisonburg for a bit while Garrett was napping.

Here's Garrett just waiting for the next fun thing to do...oh wait he's reading William Faulkner! Granddad just knows how to pick the right book for story time! :)

That night we enjoyed a nice dinner and had some pumpkin spice cake - yumm-o! Along with some apple cider. I just love fall food!!!

On Sunday we all enjoyed a walk around Massanutten. It was so neat to walk around and look at the amazing houses on the mountainside.

Later that day, Dad's boyscout leader from when he was little and his wife came to stay awhile with my parents. Garrett enjoyed meeting them and it was nice to catch up with them too! My sister and her kids also came in that afternoon. Check out our family picture. Look at all those beautiful kids. Our family is growing!

Even though we had to head back home after only a few short days, all in all it was still great to get away! Looking forward to our next little get away! :)
