Us Rasey's LOVE the beach. The purpose of this short trip was to relax and enjoy the beach. Wait! We have a 2 year old so, so long lazy beach days...hello sand gets everywhere and I want to dive in the ocean days! Garrett was beyond excited when we told him we were going to the beach. Poor thing each time we stopped on our way down to VA beach he would say ..."Yay, beach" and then we had to explain to him that it would be just a bit longer before getting there. He kept saying all the way down there things like, happy day, beach day, mommy daddy beach day. I think we have a beach bum in the making but for now he's all excited about discovering all that the beach has to offer.
We finally made it to the beach and got settled in our room and made our way down to the ocean. We set clear expectations you know only for them to be broken! :) Just kidding our little explorer minded pretty well with our ocean rules but you know he wanted a little freedom to run around...which we totally let him do in the sand just not at the shoreline like he wanted.
We ventured into sand castle making and this time to our surprise Garrett actually let us build a castle without knocking it down before it was finished! Our little man is growing! Check out our creation...I think it lasted about 10 minutes!

On our last night we caught up with one of our friends for pizza and enjoyed great conversation. Can't wait until our next beach trip and I'm sure my two boys are too!
