We enjoyed our morning traditions and got to "show" Graham what Christmas is all about! They were beside themselves with all their new presents. Garrett loved the fact that he could recognize his name on his presents!
Christmas is exciting because it's the day we celebrate our Saviors birth! Garrett and I made Jesus a birthday cake. He wanted to make Him a red cake with white icing because Jesus likes red just like him. :) We got to sing Happy Birthday and ate a piece of cake after lunch. Love making memories with my little family! Garrett was so excited to do this!!!
Sebastian joined our crazy crew just in time to open stockings! We enjoyed a yummy BBQ lunch and of course Jesus' birthday cake. When the boys went down for a nap we returned to our domino game and I'm proud to say I was the winner! I had to win it for Gabriela! We also enjoyed talking to Gabriela via the computer.
Later that day we headed to my parents house for Christmas dinner and presents. Garrett and Graham enjoyed hanging out with Gommy and Granddaddy and loved opening more presents!
It's time like these that a phrase I found written on a small piece of paper in my mom's Bible sticks out in my mind, Each day is a gift, we decide what's inside. The Christmas season brings everything in perspective and my prayer for myself and my family is that we decide to put Jesus first each day and enjoy the blessings he has for us even in the hard times. May 2014 be filled with pleasant surprises and the most beautiful blessings!
