8 months!

Happy 8 months Garrett!  This time we tried capturing Garrett's monthly photo in the morning in hopes that it would be a little more manageable...boy are we new parents!  Garrett is just a curious little boy and is always on the move!  He managed to stay still for a brief second, probably trying to figure out why mommy and daddy are making weird noises and faces.  I'm sure we are pretty entertaining to say the least! 

This month Garrett has experienced his first snow and Christmas.  This was such a special month for all of us.  Each and everyday we fall more in love with Garrett.  He is such a precious baby boy!  His newest trick is pulling himself up from a sitting position to a standing position.  He is LOVING meal time and is a healthy eater!  He is starting to like peas and green beans much more than before.  We have also started giving him snacks.  He loves to munch on yogurt melts and little puffs. 

Garrett has been battling a small cold this month.  A few nights ago Tom and I went on a date night (part of Tom's Christmas present) and Garrett worked his cute little charm on our babysitter.  She is a sweet young lady and takes great care of Garrett.  After she fed him and put him to bed she said he slept for about an hour or so and then he started coughing.  So she went to go check on him and he just didn't want to go back to sleep.  She held him, cuddled him, and she thought he was back to sleep so she checked in the mirror and he was wide awake!  He kept doing this little whimper cough and he just wouldn't go back down for her.  So she did want any good babysitter would do and she just cuddled him until we got home.  As soon as he saw us he smiled real big and reached for me.  As soon as I held him he started to giggle and even pointed toward the babysitter.  He was "playing" her the whole time.  It was quite funny.  I think Garrett's got his first crush!  Oh boy...do we have our hands full!  haha
