It actually snowed the night before we left so I lucked out with a snow day and didn't need to use a personal day so that made me extra happy! :) We took our time getting to Roanoke and made our way to the first game of the tournament. We were even blessed by someone who gave us a ticket that they weren't going to be using! That was an awesome surprise!
On Saturday we started our day right a little fun time in the pool. Garrett loves to play in the water and we took advantage of the indoor pool. I enjoyed watching Tom and Garrett have fun in the pool. We are definitely going to sign this boy up for swim lessons the spring/summer.
We got some stuff for baby Graham and Garrett was able to go spend his "Gaggie money" at the toy store. It was his first purchase ever. I was so going to take a picture of him handing his money to the cash register but I thought the people behind me in line would have thought I was a little crazy but needless to say he was so proud to buy something all by himself! He choose a bubble machine...it makes the bubbles for you. Poor thing had to wait till we got home to use it. Tom and I kept striking out...first we needed batteries, so we had to go to another store to get them. We go to put them in and we need a small screwdriver to open it up, so we try to find a eye glass repair kit at the store and when we finally found one it was $6 so we both looked at each other and were like "he's just going to have to wait one more day!" Garrett was a pretty good sport about it...love this kid!
Enjoying some fun at the mall
For Saturdays game we met up with Rick, Karen, Kemper, and Becky. We enjoyed sitting together to help cheer on the Tigers, sadly they lost the game but it was nice to be around our friends. Another tradition we started ever since we had been bringing Garrett is we would get him a special toy for the weekend. Last year was the first year he picked it out himself so we let him pick out a new toy for the weekend (within a price range of course!). This year he picked a Jack and the Neverland Pirates treasure chest. Inside he got a pirate head scarf, 5 gold deblooms (coins), a sword, and a spy glass. Check him out at the game using his spy glass!
Although Garrett is a BIG tiger fan, he still is not a fan of the "walking" tiger. He made sure we kept him safe from the Tiger so we just took a picture of him when he was far away.
